Three Teams Complete the Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Regatta 500m Challengeš
On August 22, 2026, three Harbour Kollective community teams traveled to Vancouverās False Creek to compete in the Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Regatta.
For many of our paddlers, this was their first 500m dragon boat race ā a new challenge and an opportunity to step outside their comfort zones, support one another, and experience racing together.

ATX Hongkongers and Seattle Hongkongers are heading north! Together with our local friends in Vancouver, we will take on the Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Summer Regatta on August 22, 2026.
This race will also mark the beginning of our newest community team ā Harbour Kollective ā Vancouver, nicknamed the āWhale Team.ā š
Weāre excited to bring paddlers from Austin, Seattle, and Vancouver together, build new friendships, and grow our cross-city dragon boat community.

Seattle Hongkongers competed in the 2026 Seattle Dragon Boat Festival and proudly captured 1st place in Group D with a time of 1:19.95, finishing 8th overall in the Community & Corporate Division. Congratulations to all our paddlers, and our sincere thanks to Coach Lesley from WAM Dragon Boat Team, as well as all supporters and volunteers for their dedication and encouragement.

SEAHKERS Team Debut at 2026 Rainier Dragon Boat Festival
Seattle Hongkongers made its debut at the 2026 Rainier Dragon Boat Festival in Tacoma, Washington. As one of the premier dragon boat events in the Pacific Northwest, the team proudly earned 2nd place in the Community Cascade Final.
Thanks to Coach Lesley from WAM Dragon Boat Team, as well as the teamās paddlers and supporters, for their dedication, encouragement, and continued support.
Seattle Hongkongers proudly represented the community with teamwork, determination, and Hong Kong spirit.

Through videos, interviews, event highlights, community stories, and cultural programs, we hope to bring our mission to life and create more opportunities for people to connect, learn, celebrate, and grow together.
From dragon boat adventures and community gatherings to Cantonese heritage, cultural storytelling, civic engagement, and Harbour Kollective initiatives, our YouTube channel will help us preserve meaningful memories and share the voices of our community with a wider audience.

Harbour Kollective at Austin CelebrASIA 2026
Harbour Kollective was proud to participate in Austin CelebrASIA 2026, joining communities from across Central Texas to celebrate the rich diversity of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month.
Throughout the event, we introduced visitors to Hong Kong culture, shared the excitement of dragon boating, and connected with families interested in our cultural, community, and outdoor recreation programs. It was a wonderful opportunity to build new friendships, celebrate our heritage, and strengthen connections across the broader AAPI community.
We were also delighted to meet R.B. the Riverbat, the beloved mascot of Austin Community College, and thank everyone who stopped by our booth to learn more about Harbour Kollective.
Events like CelebrASIA remind us that culture grows stronger when communities come together to share, learn, and celebrate with one another.

ATX Hongkongers Conclude the 2026 Austin Dragon Boat Festival!
This year at the 2026 Austin Dragon Boat Festival, 14 teams competed in the Corporate & Community Divisionādoubling the competition from just 7 teams in previous years.
Facing a much stronger field, ATX Hongkongers narrowly missed defending our championship, finishing 2nd in the Division B Final and earning 4th place overall in the Community/Corporate Division. While we came up just short of the podium, this result reflects the tremendous growth and determination of our young team.
We are incredibly proud of every paddler, coach, captain, volunteer, and supporter who contributed to this season. Your commitment, teamwork, and perseverance made this achievement possible.
A special thank you to our coaching partners, Austin Coolers, for their guidance and continued support throughout the season.
This year also marked the launch of our next-generation paddler development program, welcoming new members into the Harbour Kollective dragon boat family. We look forward to building an even stronger and more connected community together.

Harbour-Kollective Joins Network of Asian American Organizations (NAAO), Elevating Hongkonger-American Voice in Austinās AAPI Community
Austin, Texas ā Harbour-Kollective has officially joined the Network of Asian American Organizations (NAAO) following a unanimous board vote, strengthening its role in supporting the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community in Greater Austin. Through this membership, Hong Kong-Americans are now formally recognized as part of the cityās AAPI diaspora, with Harbour-Kollective advocating for cultural visibility, language access, diaspora experiences, and civic participation. NAAO, serving as a key bridge between the AAPI community and the City of Austin, continues promoting representation in public planning, resource allocation, and community initiatives.
